So how did Spider first meet his creators? They were working in the City Lab, which was a research center for the Avengers at the time.

The Human Torch Had The Similar Appearance Spider Man

The only character in the whole series which is even close to being a direct inspiration for Spider-Man was The Human Torch. The Human Torch had an appearance similar to Spider-Man’s, but this resemblance was a joke by Marvel writers because they thought that he was too cute to make fun of.

The company gave Stan Lee one very important task. It was to make a human named Johnny Storm looks like The Human Torch, but he didn’t have to be a close match. Because Johnny is The Human Torch, Lee could make use of the Torch’s image to create a new creation for the comic book hero.

This was a ray gun that used radiation, similar to the heat ray guns of the time. Spider Man used this weapon to defeat the Green Goblin, the super villain that was targeting Spider.

What Does The History Tells Us

Other characters would be inspired by this same incident, and these included the Gentleman Ghost (a servant of Baron Zemo), The Roxxon Oil Company (which is an oil company that likes to scare people), and the Animal Mutations (which are more advanced humans that can control animals). All of these were a part of the set up of the Spider-Man comics.

The history also shows that Spider created another name for himself during this period. His alter ego was known as Peter Parker. He went by this name for some time before he decided to go by his full name.

After this storyline, the creators of the Spiderman comic books started telling stories that would help keep him in the public eye. The villains started getting their own characters, and the heroes started joining forces to save innocent citizens from the villain.
